VITAL ENERGY

Everything in this Universe is composed of a mass of constantly moving energy. Thus everything in this planet is interconnected by the vibrations of life-force energy which flows between them. This means that our home, too, is composed of energy. It is not separate from us, and like us has an evolving consciousness with which we can communicate.

The vibrations found in home can be life-suppressing or life-enhancing. Rudolph Steiner, an Austrian philosopher and founder of Anthroposophical medicine, believed that if people could be surrounded by living architectural forms and spaces, it would have a beneficial effect on their mental and physical health.

The existence of life-force energy has been known from ancient times and had many different names in the teachings of all major religions.Christians refer to this spiritual force as ‘The Holy Ghost’, while the Hindus call this primal energy as ‘Prana’, which is attracted by and circulated through a series of energy centers in our being known as chakras.

The Chinese regard the Cosmos as being pervaded by ch’í (qi) which connects the Universe, the Earth and our bodies through a network of lines. In the Earth, this network of energy lines are known as ‘Laylines’, while in the body they are referred to as ‘Meridians’.

The Taoist art of Feng Shui, which literally means ‘wind and water’, is an ancient system of placement of buildings and furniture which encourages the natural flow of vital energy through the house, thus attracting good fortune, health and happiness. Geomancy, which is now becoming popular, is a modern equivalent of Feng Shui, and uses dowsing to locate energetic disturbances in the ground and in buildings.

Whatever the name given to it, it is generally agreed that when this this life-force energy flows harmoniously through us, connecting us to the Earth, the air, each other and the other Cosmic forces, we are sustained in perfect health.

CREATING POSITIVE VIBRATIONS

Published by fest under on 9:53 AM
When we look back at places where we have lived during our lives, we remember some with nostalgia and love while others we remember as places connected to unhappiness and pain. We often assume that the ups and downs of life are associated with the place where certain events in our lives occurred. Buildings are essentially alive. They absorb and hold the positive and negative vibrations that circulate through them. If properly designed, they can also deflect harmful energy and radiate positive forces to the occupants and the surrounding area.

These emanations are created by the combined vibrations of all our cells, tissues and organs, which give off electromagnetic energy in the form of light, heat and sound. These vibrations permeate into the air around us, affecting everything they come into contact with, including our physical environment, the furniture, furnishings, walls, floors, and every part of our house. So if one experiences situations of great emotion or mental disturbances, these vibrations linger behind, and can often be picked up by other people later. In the same way, you may pick up vibrations from the former occupants of the house also.

So, if we consciously work at making a healing home, in times of hardship or ill health, our home will be able to emit supportive and comforting vibrations. All things, including plants, minerals and animals, have their own auras (energy envelope).

THE RYTHMS OF LIFE

When man lived close to nature he reflected these natural rhythms in this was placed on the roof according to the cycle of the harvesting and drying of thatching grass. Moon cycles were used as signals to perform certain rites and ceremonies in the home to aid prosperity and good health.

Unfortunately, today we have lost the close connection with natural cycles. Our home can help us unite with the energy of the seasons, so that we can once again accept that there are natural cycles of energy throughout the year. Working with natural rhythms rather than fighting
against them in our homes can give our life meaning and bring fulfilment and a sense of belonging in the world.

REVERT TO NATURAL LIFESTYLE

Very few people can say that they are living in their ideal home. Harmony in our home should never be considered a luxury and every home, no matter how humble can be filled with positive vibrations around.
In stressful times we return to our home to provide a haven for peace and tranquillity.

This nurturing environment provides support for our outer social and inner personal harmony and provides the framework which we can organise and colour our daily lives.if we are to create a home which will nurture all that is best in the human spirit we also need to make sure our home has empathy with its surroundings.

The tide has now turned as we recognise that material wealth, power and domination will never bring us peace and contentment. Many people are now endeavouring to revert to a simpler, more natural lifestyle, an essential part of which is to live in a loving, supportive home.

Unfortunately, most people cannot afford to design ecological friendly and healthy houses, and find themselves living in a space designed by the builder or architect who has already defined the shape and sizes of the rooms. There are, however, many ways we can improve the vital energy in a house, turning it into a loving home where we can feel peace and rest.

By using natural materials, full-spectrum lights, energy-balancing sounds, fragrances, fabrics and colours. We can change our home with energy that harmonizes with natural forces. By honouring the place in which we live in this way, we honour the earth, and honour ourselves.

THE LOVING HOME

Published by fest under on 3:10 PM

The home is a place to be loved and a place for loving. It provides a sense of belonging, affection and togetherness. This special place provides shelter from the elements and satisfies the deep longing of our soul to dwell in a place which is healthy for the body, mind and spirit. It is somewhere we begin and end the day, and where at one time we would have been born and eventually died.

With the changes in our social structures and way of life, our spiritual links with our home have slowly become eroded. Since the modern movement in architecture in the twenties and thirties, houses have been designed more to make the most of modern building materials and advances in technology than they have for the people who will live in them. To meet our changing needs for the 21st century, we must once again create an intimate and emotional connection with our home.

As our lives become increasingly stressful, we need a place which is calm, relaxing and re-energising, and it is nothing other than our own homes. We ourselves could enhance these positive elements by using, colour, light and aroma, to ensure that our homes become peaceful sanctuaries where our energy is restored.

Choose colours which relaxes or revitalizes, using natural materials for maximum therapeutic benefit. Rather than imposing the latest trends, create an environment which reflects your personality and lifestyle, and promotes good health.
